Birdie Transformation Program

Week 21

1 – Create a space in your house/home meant for meditation, visioning, healing, energy work, yoga, art, a place where you could be during a guided meditation.

If such a a space is not immediately available – be creative. Maybe it is a space that needs to be set up each time.

2 – Contemplate what might be meant by: Temples of the Soul, Soul’s Original Face, Blueprint of the Soul.

Creativity

Being creative is a fundamental quality of your purest soul expression, your deepest basic self.

This week, examine what creativity is for you.

Some questions to help with the investigation are: How are you creative? Are you creative? How does it feel to be creative?

If time and money were not an issue, how would you express your creativity? What is it you would love to create?

What limitations to your creativity are you aware of, both internal as well as external?

On a scale of 0-10, 10 being fully creative, where do you see yourself in being creative.

Question: what is your degree of freedom to express yourself ? What limits that expression?.

For example – you may want to dance naked at the beach …

You may want to sing on top of your lungs

You may want to paint all day.

Whichever it is, what are the limitations you impose on your Self expression and creativity?

How to power intention

How to power intention

We all have done it,  New Year’s resolutions, planning something, making a “goals and aims” list, then …we put in the effort, try to muster up the will and then, we have success, or we fail, another learning experience under our belt.

We alter the goals, make them realistic so we can have more sustained success, we keep trying.

We change to make the steps even more realistic, try to build them into daily routines, daily practice so they become habits, and there is some success. Maybe we get to a point to clarify or shift our goals because we have changed, some unconscious block released, maturity happened. Still, often there is effort involved still.

That is all okay.

There are tendencies in our body-mind that will continue to need our vigilance and renewed commitment to be able to manifest a desired way.
In the process of practices, or “dirt time”, we learn.

Building new habits is a good way to go.

But then there is this: big, fundamental life and meta programming changes and goals. Soul intention, healing and alignment. Here working with intention means your highest possible intention for your life you can come up with at the time.
Setting a clear intention and visioning the end result, how it will look, feel, sound or be.
And then: power it.

How?

With passion, with feeling, with emotion, with persistence, with practice, with developing a humble disposition, with asking for help, with not letting go of that intention, with not giving up on that intention. With being open for that intention to manifest, with being willing to follow your inner guidance to do what needs to be done. With being willing to let go of your idea how the path to the manifesting of the intention looks like. With being willing to accept what source brings into your life and energy field for the intention to come to life as your lived reality. Because that intention is something you hold all the time. It is the over-reaching goal in which all the rest of your life happens and you can trust that.

Humans feel, like all mammals and possibly all sentient beings everywhere. They have the gift of emotional energy. In humans, there is desire and passion. What do you really feel drawn to and pulled by. What turns your life on? What is it that feels right in your body and soul?
Emotional energy provides fuel for intention to manifest. Experiment with varying degrees of energy and attention placed on your goal.

And then, someday, somehow, grace happens and you simply notice effortless action and manifesting of the intention, sometimes day in-day out. That is amazing.

But here is the thing: you develop a burning fire, a flame that fuels the manifestation process of your intention. It does not have to be a roaring and all consuming fire all the time, or ever, but it is a fire you never let go out, even if some days, because you forgot, all you have left are some glowing embers which need a little breath to make a flame, like a little reminder during your morning practice minute: I am open, I am willing, please help we with: ….your intention here.

Setting intention is one part of the process. Some part of your attention stays with the intention, and then – give it some power….with emotional energy, feeling.

Don’t know how to feel? Okay, no worries. Accept that you don’t know how to conjure up emotions or feelings.

Just pay attention when you DO feel anything like love, joy, desire, pleasure….maybe when playing with a child, holding an animal, being in nature ….then…notice the feeling and remember the goal of your intention…and put it there with that feeling. Keep doing it.

And notice what keeps you from feeling – fear of it being too much, beliefs about whether or not it is appropriate? Eliminate those false beliefs and barriers within you.

As you can see, that overarching intention might bring to you things and situations you need to face and deal with…and when it happens, deal with it.

You could imagine feeling the goal, the object of your intention, as the beloved.

You could do a ceremony for yourself, dedicating your life to that beloved, aligning your will, your self with that highest intention.

Discover who you are, from the original intent out of the void, to your soul’s blueprint, to manifesting. When aligned with that, you can fulfill your destiny, your mission, however that looks like for you.
The spirit then moves through you, making use of all you have learned and all the means available to you.
Every single one of us is different. That is why it makes no sense to look outside of your self. I see people who do amazing things, apparently have gone through great transformations, living and experiencing things that are incredibly beautiful, and I rejoice for them. “I” would not want to have to live they they do. It is not who I am, who this soul is meant to be, how alignment with Divine Will looks like for this soul.
The saying of Rumi’s is so so true, paraphrased: Let yourself be pulled by what you truly love.
Following your yearning, your deepest longing.

What is it you love doing and being?

Sometimes that inquiry leads to some unexpected discoveries.

Home for the holidays

This one is for holiday times with the family.

If you are happy, feeling welcome and get along fine with your family, you have a week off.

You might just want to pay attention to how the kind and amount of food ingested during family Holidays affects your mood and general well being?

For others: if “stuff” just seems to happen anytime you spend more than a couple of hours with family, maybe it is time to think about how to more intentionally create your time with them.

For example. If you fly in and get picked up at the airport, maybe, rather than being stuck at the house for a week or 2, you need to rent a car to not feel trapped.

Even as adults, when we are around parents and family, inexplicably we seem to revert to a much earlier state of development, acting like, well, not like our otherwise usual selves. Especially when our beings remember past hurts, when old patterns are triggered, and when in present time our development and change or life direction goes completely ignored by family, things can get difficult.

This is a prime time for observation of your habits, triggers, attitudes and practice setting boundaries. if needed.

How can you stand your ground without it becoming a big confrontation? Can you say “No” to something you don’t want to do? How much do you feel like a little child again? Do you just go along with the plan just to keep the peace?

Here is something you can do when going home to your parents house, if you are lucky enough and your parents are still alive.

Think about something, a trait or something they used to do for you when you were growing up that was important to you then….and thank them for it. It can be a little thing like: You know dad, In the summer, we always got a little Italian ice cream cone on Sundays after church. I loved that so much. I know we didn’t have much money, but we all loved it it is such a great memory.

Just a little thing like that, and express gratitude to them.

Going a little further, and if you feel a little love, affection, or tenderness for them – speak it, find a safe way to express it, even if that is an unfamiliar thing for you to do.

Have a great and blessed time

Church”

Before you read on, get a piece of paper (Din A4 or letter size) fold it lengthwise or draw a line in the middle from top to bottom.

This experiment works if you don’t think about it beforehand, so if you would like to get results, get the paper and a writing tool.

You will also need a watch, a computer clock or some other device that tells you when 30 seconds are over.

Got it?

Get it ready now. Don’t read further till you are ready.

Okay, you will be writing a word on top of each half of the paper, which should have 2 columns.

Once you write the word, keep writing for 30 seconds any other words or attributes that come up for you in association with the word you wrote on the top. Don’t think about it, just write what comes.

Then move to the second word.

Okay, here goes

First word – sexual

go write for 30 seconds.

done

Second word: – sacred

write for 30 seconds

ok, good.

Look at your lists of attributes/words. Notice what appeared.

Contemplate on the results and if you are willing, share your insight, observation or anything else on our private facebook group.

next:

Church

What does going to church mean to you?

Growing up, most of us were part of a system of a locally practiced religion. Some grew up Roman Catholic, others Protestant, some in the Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Islamic or in a Native/Nature tradition.

Whichever was the case for you, write down the parts you liked, the parts you did not like. You can also contemplate and clearly clarify in your mind what you liked/did not like about it.

Contemplate what religious organizations have done in the world over the centuries.

Consider the mystics and gurus in the religions.

All religions seem to have their rules and practices – and then there is the mystical section.

Consider that the word, the idea, really became flesh, like yours, like all manifestation. Consider that out of voidness came sound and light and manifestation, eternally ONE. Consider that all is love.

Now some questions for you:

Would you like going to church? If so:

What would you like going to church be for you?

How would you like “being in church” feel like for you?

What kind of space – internal and external – would you like your church to be?

Consider again your beliefs about sexual and sacred (see the list from above exercise).

Share anything about your insights, thoughts or anything else related to this in our private facebook group.

Write.

The task is clear: write.

Use your hand and a pen whenever possible.

Write anything that comes to mind.

This week, write.

Can take many forms. Diary, journal, dream recording, ideas, meaningless words, letters, blogs, wishes, desires, projects, books, write as a practice.

This week, spend some time writing every day.

Practice

On the path of the development of the harmonious human being, there are practices and investigations that have shown to be beneficial.

The thing with practice is this: it only works if you practice, at that usually means regularly. Unlike a spontaneous awakening experience that comes, at least in part, as a gift from Grace, certain desired lasting changes in your development, also called stages of development, can be helped along through engagement in stage appropriate practices.

This week we are called to review the weeks of the Birdie Transformation Program we have had so far and reflect of what is happening with us in relation to it.

Have you done, at least sometimes, any or all the tasks, exercises or practices as they were given for a certain week?

Is there a practice you have taken on and incorporated into your life?

Examples: maybe the daily morning minute was doable? Have you been giving the cells of your body more of the actual necessary nutrients they need for optimal functioning? Are you able to know/sense what is actually going on in your body – a few times per day or maybe all day long? Maybe you found keeping a gratitude journal helped so much that it has become a habit? Maybe connecting with your body through super slow movement or gentle touch and massage has had a healing effect. Maybe finding out about the nervous system and early trauma was important?

What effects or changes have you noticed in your life in the last 3 months, if any?

This week is simply a review of where we have been in the preceding Birdie Transformation Program weeks. There is time for looking at what is happening with us.

Birdie Transformation Program – Week 13

Birdie Transformation Program

Week 13

Refocus with gratitude.

Exercise this week:

Every time to notice one of those automatic thought loops, repetitive ruminations, persistent anger at the same thing, compulsion to be nice or helpful even though your body screams no, …things like that, repetitive “tapes” playing:

Shift out of the pattern by re-focussing using gratitude.

Once you catch yourself as being in some kind of automatic loop, think of something you are grateful for, then think of another thing you are grateful for, keep going till the shift is complete.

It is a simple body/mind mini hack for changing our conditioning in what we call human in the manifest world. Rewiring means when energy flows, it has other options than the usual and habitual.

Do you have to change the pattern? No, not at all. You don’t have to do anything. You may find it beneficial though.

Have a great time. I mean that – observe what happens, be curious, it can be a lot of fun.
